We experienced a corruption on our servers hard disk yesterday which resulted in us having to take the server off-line, replace the hard disk and reload all the sites. Sites were mostly all restored by 6pm although the databases were slightly out of date. This means certain agency sites may show some old data, hopefully this will be all be corrected today.

Flash player 8 posted: 22 02 07

We are a great advocate of (appropriate) use of Flash for websites, however we have restricted ourselves to designing for the Flash player version 7, this is to accomodate the potential viewers who may not have upgraded thier players. This still allows us access to most features incoroprated in Actionscript 2 (the Flash programming language) but has not allowed us to use the enhanced bitimap manipulation and effects, text antialiasing, and video capabilities built into player 8, which is also considerably faster.

As Adobe has now had player 9 available for some months we have decided to incorporate some specfic player 8 effects in future designs. The first of these can be seen at Jannys’ new site Oriental-Princess.co.uk.

Player 8 has been available for over 12 months now so we feel this is a justifiable move by us. If you have not upgraded, player 9 is available as a free download from Adobe.com, or contact us for further information.

Seems it may be picture changing time round some websites, a complete new photoshoot for Liz who has also changed her domain from HeadGirl to Hot Lizzy to go with her new picture shoot. Anna Aroma has also been down to London for a photoshoot and the new sultrier look can bee seen on her site as well as the sunnier previous phot set.

Vanessa will also be having new photos added to her site this week, and new photos are also booked for Caroline in Birmingham and Charlotte in Bristol…
